Who Done It?

Question

I found these tiny tracks (trail width is a about 1.5 inches) under a tree after an early snow at about 4,000 foot elevation in the Gifford Pinchot Forest in southern Washington.

Most small rodents have a bounding trail, often with some tail drag showing. Voles, however, alternate between a bounding and diagonal stride with no tail drag. Here is a 3 x 3 bounding stride from the same trail.
