Who Done It?

Question

These tracks were found in December in a meadow known as Big Prarie along the North Fork of the Flathead River, the western boundary of Glacier National Park. There were several inches of powder over a soft base.

Answer

The diagonal lope characteristic of the weasel family is readily apparent. The lodgepole sapling gives some scale. The trail width and track size are too large for the small weasels, though. This is a pine marten track.
