Similar species. There is considerable confusion and disagreement over the Dotted Blue complex. Andy Warren (2005) considers populations in the Columbia and Snake River Basins of Oregon and Washington to be E. columbiae. Some field guides describe it as E. entopes columbiae or simply refer to it as part of the Dotted Blue complex.
