Similar species. The orange spots are narrow and separated, marginal black line is thin. Pyle and LaBarr (2012) distinguish between the Pacific Dotted (E. enoptes) in SW Oregon which feeds on Eriogonum elatum, Rocky Mountain Dotted (E. ancilla) in Harney County which feeds on Eriogonum compositum, and the Colombia Dotted which is found along the Columbia and Snake Rivers.
