Comments. Found in eastern Oregon and the eastern slope of the Cascades in Washington. Distinguished from the very similar Sooty Hairstreak (with which it was formerly lumped) by presence of male stigmata. Found from 1,000-8,500 feet. Boisduval's Blue females may look similar but have some blue scaling and white fringe.
